Description
ArtWalls2021 is currently underway at the Photopoint Gallery. The show commenced in late January and will continue until mid-June 2021. The free-style exhibit offers a new approach to a group show setting which features several prominent Arts on the Coast members — Antoine de Villiers, Ana Maria Leonardi, Joy Dunigan, Paul Downs, Heather L. Young, Sarah Volker, Patricia Harper Mathews, Carmen Maria Aguirre, Manda Faye Dunigan and Carol A. Hartley. ArtWalls2021 ultimately presents a ‘mini-solo-show’ opportunity for artists to showcase their work through their own artistic expression.
Each artist was specifically invited into the Gallery space, each taking over a chosen wall. Like a blank canvas in and of itself, the walls of the Photopoint Gallery have been transformed to command each artist's unique style. Artists have complete control over what work is showcased and the frequency in which they change out their work, allowing art enthusiasts and collectors the chance to see every side of their creative abilities.
As with all Photopoint Gallery exhibits, ArtWalls 2021 displays a wide variety in mediums — from oils to acrylics, to washes, mixed media, photography and cyanotypes.ArtWalls 2021 can be seen in person, or by appointment at the Photopoint Gallery, Tuesday thru Saturday from 10-5. All work can be viewed and purchased online at photopointgallery.com. All local artists are strongly encouraged to visit and join the Arts on the Coast at artsonthecoast.org.
